MILDRED SOLOMON MEMORIAL FUND

Mildred Solomon, Nana Mil to most, was born to Franklin Everett and Eunice Mae (Smith) George on February 23, 1945 in Clinton, OK. She gained her Heavenly Wings on October 3, 2024 at the age of 79 years.
Mildred attended many schools growing up as she was the daughter of a minister. She graduated from Owasso High School with the Class of 1963. She furthered her education at the University of Oklahoma, where she was a member of the Pride of Oklahoma playing saxophone, graduating with her BS in Education. She earned her Masters of Education and Reading Specialist’ Degrees from East Central University. On December 30, 1963, Mildred married the love of her life, Eldred Wayne Solomon. They were married for 39 wonderful years until his passing in 2002. Mildred loved teaching children. She taught at many schools, but had long tenured careers teaching middle school at Pauls Valley and Tishomingo. Mildred moved to Noble in 2003 from Tishomingo, OK. Mildred attended the Noble First Baptist Church for the last 20 years where she enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She also enjoyed reading a good book, baking cookies for all of her family and friends, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Daughter in Law Dee Solomon, and grandson Trevor Solomon. She is survived by her children: Frank Solomon of Noble, Jay Solomon and wife Charla of Blanchard, Julayna Meyer and husband David of Norman, brother: James George and wife Diana of Arizona, (3) grandchildren: Tyler Solomon and wife Jamie, Kelsey Kirby and husband Nathan, Kensey Grissom and husband Taylor, (6) great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
