50 for 50 Team Leader Page
The most effective way to fundraise for an organization is through a method called Peer-to-Peer campaigns. Basically, that means that YOU (a supporter of NPSF) actively share the opportunity with your network of friends and ask them to share with their network. Easy peasy.
* 1 in 3 of all online donations today come through via Peer-to-Peer campaigns
* 1 in 4 emails from peer fundraisers resulted in donations vs. 1 in 1250 sent by organizations themselves
* Facebook is the #1 driver of traffic to Peer-to-Peer campaigns
* 71% of all donors through Peer-to-Peer are first time donors
SIMPLY PUT - THIS WORKS. PEOPLE WILL DONATE IF THEIR FRIENDS ASK THEM TO AND IF IT IS AN EASY PROCESS.
WHAT DO WE NEED YOU TO DO AS A TEAM LEADER???
As a peer fundraiser for NPSF, all you do is help us promote our current fundraising campaign online to your network of friends. You literally share links to donate with your social media circles and ask them to support NPSF.
That's it. It is hands down the most simple way to make a huge impact for our endowment.
YOUR JOB IS TO BE A VOCAL CHAMPION OF THIS FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN!
You are tasked with influencing your classmates or team (if you're not raising for a class) to donate a minimum of $1000 as an entire group. That could be 10 people donating $100, or 20 donating $50, or 100 people donating $10. Whatever gets you to the goal. This doesn't mean your class has to STOP at $1000... by all means keep going!!! The team that raises the most money will be recognized as the Class Wars Champion at our April awards banquet!
HERE IS THE CHECKLIST OF WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
1. Find your team in the list below. Next to your team is a link. This links directly to the fundraising page for YOUR SPECIFIC TEAM. Save this link somewhere easy for you to access. You can also access it through our website under "get involved" tab at top and a link at the footer. This links directly to the fundraising page for your team. This will be the link you want to share with your people for your team to credit all donations you generate. There will be a tracker at this page and all teams will be tracked on a leaderboard. THIS IS A LINK YOU NEED TO HAVE SAVED AND AVAILABLE TO SHARE EASILY.
2. Starting Wednesday, August 1st, launch the campaign to your people! For the first month, we ask that you really get excited and post multiple times a week about the campaign. Starting in September, we ask that you post a minimum of weekly. ASK your team people to donate. Be excited about it - when you are, they will be! Here are some things you can do to successfully share:
Share the team link with your classmates/friends/family on your social media pages. TAG PEOPLE WHEN YOU DO THIS
Send private FB messages to your people with the link, asking them to donate
Text the link and ask them to donate
Email the link and ask them to donate
Pick up the phone and call them to ask them to donate
Send them a letter in the mail to ask them to donate.
3. Enlist your team members to help you! The more of your team that gets involved, the better you will do!
4. THIS IS A CONTEST!! People like to beat their friends at stuff. Utilize this in your communications to motivate your team to win! Each team page will track their giving and the system will rank all teams by volume raised on a rolling basis. We will give you regular updates so that you can use the rankings to get busy. YOUR MINIMUM GOAL IS $1000. However, do NOT stop there if your people are into it - there are many classes that we do NOT have team leaders for, and so to reach the goal, your teams will have to exceed it! LET'S SEE WHO CAN BEAT THE REST BY GIVING THE MOST!
5. As your people give, you may want to thank them publicly on social media also. When people see their friends are doing something, they hop on board. As donations for your team come in, we will do a weekly update to you re who has given so that you can thank them. We will also be sending every donor a handwritten thank you note!
6. Make SURE you go like our FB page for Noble Public Schools Foundation - as we post things in there during the campaign, you are welcome to share to your own pages! TIP - when sharing our posts, make sure to always add your own comments and your team donation link before hitting the post button! Also make sure you are a member of our NPSF 50 for 50 Team Leader group on FB. I will be posting all KINDS of ideas in there that you can use as well! This group will be our information hub!
7. GO BE AWESOME! Don't give up! Be excited and ASK directly!
OUR GOAL IS TO HAVE THIS $50,000 WRAPPED UP AND IN THE BANK BY 12/31 OF 2018!!!

FAQ SECTION
WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
The Noble Public Schools Foundation for Academic Excellence exists to provide opportunities that enrich and enhance academic excellence for all students of Noble Public Schools.
Our vision is to sustain an endowment at a level in line with schools and communities of our size; so that we are able to contribute $25,000 annually toward academic enhancements for our children through classroom grants.
The last few years have been challenging for public education, but with that challenge comes the opportunity for greatness. In Noble, we are fortunate to live in a school district where the faculty and staff are fully devoted to our students. Noble Public Schools faculty and staff freely give their personal time and money to ensure that each child has the best educational opportunity possible. To say that we are grateful is an understatement. What better way to repay that kindness than by creating sustainable giving for our students.
By financially supporting the Noble Public Schools Foundation for Academic Excellence, you ensure that funds are available to help provide our schools with the resources they need to help our students thrive for years to come. Whether your gift is through annual or monthly giving, large or small, your gift does make a difference. You can make a tax deductible donation at any time by clicking the Donate Now button at the top or bottom of this page.
WHAT IS AN ENDOWMENT?
Endowments receive donations that go into a fund. Those monies are invested for long term stable returns. The best run endowments seek to average 6-8% return on principal per year. Each year around 5% of the value of the fund is drawn to finance the activities for which the endowment was established, in our case, to fund the grants to our classroom teachers to enhance and enrich the education of Noble students.
By only using a part of the earnings, it allows the principal to grow, thus, providing for a rising income stream for future years by taking 5% off a bigger principal amount. Additionally, if donors are diligent in adding new principal each year, an exponentially larger and larger impact will be made.
The following example illustrates how an endowment can grow and make an increasingly significant impact. Naturally, some years returns are higher, some lower. But historically, well run endowments are perpetual and self sustaining.
Beginning + Yearly - Annual 5% + New = Ending Donations Principal
Year 1 - $100,000 (principal) + $7,000 (7% return) - $5,000 (draw) + $50,000(new) = $152,000
Year 2 - $152,000 (principal) + $10,640 (7% return) - $7,600 (draw) + $50,000 (new) = $205,000
Year 3 - $205,000 (principal) + $14,352 (7% return) - $10,250 (draw) + $50,000 (new) = $259,102
Naturally, the annual draw amounts are determined by the Foundation over seeing the endowment and may be adjusted to maximize the annual gift while allowing for variable returns and protection of the principal.
At Noble Public Schools Foundation, our intermediate range goal is to get to the $1,000,000 mark. It is a tall order, but achievable and at that level we could be funding all of our annual grant requests and likely many more and larger projects. All this is possible without touching our principal investment, saving its annual earnings for future generations.
WHAT IS THE 50 FOR 50 CAMPAIGN?
50 for 50 is our capital campaign focusing on our alumni and appealing to each of us to "pay forward" the advantages we have received by growing up in Noble. It is our plan to raise $1,000 in the name of 50 graduating classes from Noble.
For example, if you are a graduate of 1964, and you donate $100, and nine of your classmates donate $100, then the class of '64 has met it's goal. Obviously, it is our hope that at least $1,000 can be raised representing fifty graduating classes, thus $50,000. When we meet our goal of $50,000, the Kirkpatrick Foundation will give us a grant of $20,000 (FREE MONEY) to add to our endowment fund! It is our longer range goal to sustain this program and raise our endowment to $500,000 by 2020; more in line with schools and communities of our size; and more in line with what our kids deserve. At that level of endowment, we will be able to contribute $25,000 per year toward academic enhancements for our kids.
