Tell people about the NPS Foundation, our mission, and ask them to join our Legacy Club for monthly donors. YOUR JOB IS TO BE A STORYTELLER!

That's it. It is hands down the most simple way to make a huge impact for our endowment, and ultimately your classrooms.

WE ARE ASKING EVERY MEMBER OF THE NPS FACULTY/STAFF TO ENCOURAGE THEIR CIRCLE OF FRIENDS/FAMILY/PARENTS TO GIVE MONTHLY TO THE NOBLE PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOUNDATION - each individual faculty staff member has been given a personal challenge to secure a minimum of $10 in monthly giving from their circles of people.

We have a generous alumni who has donated a $25,000 dollar for dollar match for every dollar pledged for monthly giving!!! So for every $10 a month you get a donor to commit to, it will result in $20 a month given to our endowment fund. THIS IS A HUGE OPPORTUNITY FOR US TO DOUBLE OUR MONEY FOR FREE!

This private group will be our hub of information and ideas catered to help you share our story effectively and we will also keep everyone updated as to the progress and send a weekly giving report of new Legacy Club Members to thank

STEP 3 - Copy and save your school team site specific online donation link for sharing later. We will be tracking which school site best engages donors to give monthly, so you want to make sure this is the link you give your people to sign up at so your school gets the credit:

STEP 4 - Launch the campaign to your people ASAP! ASK your people to donate. Be excited about it - when you are, they will be! Here are some things you can do to successfully share:

• ALWAYS TELL YOUR WHY WHEN SHARING AND ASKING!! Keep it about you, keep it about your kids!

•      Share your school link with your social media pages.

•      Send private FB messages to your people with your school giving link.

•      Text the link and ask them to donate monthly.

•      Email the link and ask them to donate monthly.

•      Pick up the phone and call them to ask them to donate monthly.

•      Send them a letter in the mail to ask them to donate monthly.

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

The Noble Public Schools Foundation for Academic Excellence exists to connect community resources with the needs of teachers and students of Noble Public Schools, by providing additional funds for grants that fall outside of the NPS Budget. Our vision is to see every child from Noble Public Schools have access to academic excellence in the classroom by sustaining an endowment at a level in line with schools and communities of our size; so that we are able to contribute $50,000 annually toward academic enhancements for our children through classroom grants.

The last few years have been challenging for public education, but with that challenge comes the opportunity for greatness. In Noble, we are fortunate to live in a school district where the faculty and staff are fully devoted to our students. Noble Public Schools faculty and staff freely give their personal time and money to ensure that each child has the best educational opportunity possible. To say that we are grateful is an understatement. What better way to repay that kindness than by creating sustainable giving for our students.

WHAT IS AN ENDOWMENT?

Endowments receive donations that go into a fund. Those monies are invested for long term stable returns. The best run endowments seek to average 6-8% return on principal per year. Each year around 5% of the value of the fund is drawn to finance the activities for which the endowment was established, in our case, to fund the grants to our classroom teachers to enhance and enrich the education of Noble students.

By only using a part of the earnings, it allows the principal to grow, thus, providing for a rising income stream for future years by taking 5% off a bigger principal amount. Additionally, if donors are diligent in adding new principal each year, an exponentially larger and larger impact will be made.

The following example illustrates how an endowment can grow and make an increasingly significant impact. Naturally, some years returns are higher, some lower. But historically, well run endowments are perpetual and self sustaining.

Beginning + Yearly - Annual 5% + New = Ending Donations Principal

Year 1 - $100,000 (principal) +  $7,000 (7% return) - $5,000 (draw) + $50,000(new) =  $152,000

Year 2 - $152,000 (principal) + $10,640 (7% return) -  $7,600 (draw) + $50,000 (new) = $205,000

Year 3 -  $205,000 (principal) + $14,352 (7% return) -  $10,250 (draw) + $50,000 (new) = $259,102

Naturally, the annual draw amounts are determined by the Foundation over seeing the endowment and may be adjusted to maximize the annual gift while allowing for variable returns and protection of the principal.

At Noble Public Schools Foundation, our intermediate range goal is to get to the $1,000,000 mark. It is a tall order, but achievable and at that level we could be funding all of our annual grant requests and likely many more and larger projects.   All this is possible without touching our principal investment, saving its annual earnings for future generations. 

WHAT IS THE LEGACY CLUB CAMPAIGN?

Our current 2019-20 campaign to better sustain our long term mission by encouraging monthly giving. WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN THE LEGACY CLUB TODAY?

MATCHING FUNDS OFFER - Every $1 you give will be multiplied by 2.67 - we have been given TWO generous matching fund offers that will almost triple your giving! The first generous matching funds offer is from a generous NPS alumnus, who has offered to match every dollar given through The Legacy Club up to $25,000. The second is a 3:1 match from the Kirkpatrick Family Fund. For example, if you join today with a $10 monthly pledge, your annual gift of $120 will immediately become $240 right out of the gate with our generous alumni match. That $240 will receive another $80 from the Kirkpatrick Family Fund, resulting in you $120 annual gift ending up as $320 in our endowment fund! That is $200 given ON TOP OF YOUR GIFT, just because you joined The Legacy Club with a monthly gift.

SUSTAINABLE FUNDING FOR GENERATIONS - by financially supporting the Noble Public Schools Foundation for Academic Excellence with an ongoing monthly donation, you ensure that funds are available to help provide our schools with the resources they need to help our students thrive for years to come. Our Board of Directors privately funds all of our operational costs, so 100% of your monthly gift will go DIRECTLY to our endowment fund for classroom grants. Our goal is to reach $1 million in that endowment fund by 2030, which would allow us to give a minimum of $50,000 annually in classroom grants to Noble Public Schools.
